What is Circular Economy?
A circular economy ensures resources are used in a way that protects and restores the natural environment by avoiding those that harm the environment at any point in their lifecycle, using less, and keeping resources in use for as long as possible. Our network in this area works together to promote and educate about Circular Economy practices and activities within our community. Our goal is for our community to use circular economy practices so that our planet can thrive and continue to provide us with resources for generations to come.

Repair Cafes
Fix It, Don't Fling It
Repair Cafes are free pop-up events where local people bring in their broken and damaged belongings and local volunteer experts do their best to repair them. We welcome you to come and get your things fixed, enjoy some much-needed downtime, activities for kids, connect with others over a hot cuppa, learn a bit about repairs, and embrace the sense of togetherness in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The impact of current resource consumption
The manner in which we currently consume resources is having a devastating effect on our planet: flora, fauna, land, waterways, oceans and air.
To see first-hand the impact of plastic and other litter on our environment, we encourage you to Host a Waterway Clean-up Event.
This is a great motivator for all involved to consume more carefully in the future.
