The Environment Network Manawatū encourages our members to take part in public consultations, and we write joint submissions on behalf of our members, in consultation with our members. This list includes recent consultation processes of importance to the regional environment, and an archive of older submissions. ENM submits on many of these, and we invite member group input while submissions are being developed. Click on each consultation title to learn more.

Palmerston North is growing, and we need to be able to move more people around safely and more easily. Palmerston North City Council wants to create an environment and culture change that enables people to choose cycling more often. They will be installing a trial separated cycleway on Main Street-Pioneer Highway. Feedback is open until 22 December 2020.

The Climate Change Commission is a new Crown entity which will provide independent, evidence-based advice to Government, to help Aotearoa transition to a climate resilient and low-emissions future. Submission period 1 February to 16 March 2021.

This Ministry for the Environment consultation seeks feedback on two proposals related to plastic design, use and disposal. ENM is preparing a joint submission to this consultation, and a separate document relevant to the Palmy's Plastic Pollution Challenge project. Submissions close 4 December.
